Bachelors of Science (Data Science and Analytics) is a three-year undergraduate programme
Data Science is an interdisciplinary field that combines the magic of programming,
mathematics and business. Combined with Machine Learning, it helps to identify a
future trend which can be used to derive actionable insights for creating future impact.
These skills will help for the role of a Data Scientist. Data science can add value to
any business which can use the data well.

building data science skills is becoming very important. The next 20 to 25 years data

the country.
Companies are racing to hire people who can manage large databases and extract
insights important for business, government, and academia. The ability to work with
large, unstructured data sets and extract vital insights is a desired attribute for a
worker. The need for data scientists is so strong that the Bureau of Labor Statistics
predicts that there is going to be a visible upsurge in the requirement of data science
professionals in India. Similarly, at the graduate and professional level, there’s a
growing need to catch up, and an opportunity to strengthen career paths and job
prospects by adding data science skills.
Podar college wishes to address this humongous opportunity by providing a wholesome
curriculum which combines data science and analytics. This programme also gives
opportunities for the learners to become self-made professionals and start operating on their
own.

Eligibility Criteria:
Any student who has passed the Higher Secondary School Certificate (Standard XII)
Examination conducted by the different divisional boards of the Maharashtra State Board of
Secondary and Higher Secondary Education and secured not less than 45 percentage marks in
aggregate (40 percentage in case of reserved category) at one and the same city.
Or
Must have passed any examination of another University or Board recognized as equivalent
to Higher Secondary School Certificate (Standard XII) Examination and secured not less than
45 percentage marks in aggregate (40 percentage in case of reserved category) at one and the
same city.
* Students who have opted for Mathematics would be preferred.
