SPEAKERS’ ACADEMY/CELL

Speakers’ Academy is a forum where every student gets to voice their opinions on various topics. It is one of the premium clubs in Podar college giving students the chance to hone their debating skills.
We at Speakers Academy, train the brightest minds of the city (our students) in Public Speaking, which is nowadays a prerequisite to take up bigger responsibilities and succeed at different levels. We build the confidence, the self-esteem and the fluency of speaking to an audience and also help in grooming the student in all aspects to compete at any given level.

Objectives of the Association:

  • To help participants become confident and articulate communicators. This includesimproving their speaking, listening, and non-verbal communication skills.

  • To help individuals overcome their fear and nervousness when speaking in public.The academy aims to help participants overcome these barriers and develop a strongsense of self-assurance while presenting.

  • To equip participants with various presentation techniques, storytelling methods, andvisual aids to deliver compelling and engaging speeches or presentations.

  • To empower Effective Leadership. Public speaking and leadership often go hand in hand. Speakers Academy may focus on developing leadership qualities, including the ability to inspire, motivate, and influence others positively.

  • To encourage personal growth, self-awareness, and emotional intelligence to helpindividuals become more effective communicators in various aspects of life.

Learning outcomes:

  • Effective Communication : Participants learn how to articulate their ideas clearly and concisely, improving their verbal and non-verbal communication skills.

  • Persuasion and Influence : Learning the art of persuasion to drive action and influence others positively.

  • Audience Engagement : Understanding how to connect with audiences, read the irreactions, and adapt presentations to maintain interest.

  • Public Speaking Skills : Attendees gain confidence in delivering presentations, speeches, and pitches in front of different audiences.

  • Encourage Continuous Learning : The journey of becoming an excellent speaker is ongoing. Speakers Academy may instill the value of continuous learning and improvement in communication skills.
