B. Com (Financial Markets)
Bachelors of Commerce (Financial Markets) is a Three-year undergraduate programme.
Finance is an important domain in commerce Education. The steady growth of financial
markets in INDIA duly supported by the Government initiatives, has opened up several
career opportunities. To utilise the emerging opportunities in the employment space there is a
need to have focussed knowledge in the financial markets domain. With the Indian financial
markets getting integrated with International markets, there is a need for knowledgeable and
skilled man power. This programme will fill the existing gap. As an Autonomous Institution
we at Podar have made the programme experiential oriented such that the learners will be job
ready and will be in a position to contribute while becoming a graduate and after graduation.
The main areas of career are trading and broking in capital markets, equity and other security
analyst, mutual funds, credit rating, investment and merchant banking, research and advisory
services like mergers and acquisitions, commodity trading, risk management in financial
markets, and portfolio management.

Eligibility Criteria:
Any student who has passed the Higher Secondary School Certificate (Standard XII)
Examination conducted by the different divisional boards of the Maharashtra State Board of
Secondary and Higher Secondary Education and secured not less than 45 percentage marks in
aggregate (40 percentage in case of reserved category) at one and the same city.
Or
Must have passed any examination of another University or Board recognized as equivalent
to Higher Secondary School Certificate (Standard XII) Examination and secured not less than
45 percentage marks in aggregate (40 percentage in case of reserved category) at one and the
same city.
