History of Institute of commerce traces back to 1970s. The institute was started in college to facilitate students to appear for GCD (Government Commercial Diploma) conducted by government of Maharashtra. Since, the government of Maharashtra stopped GCD course, the college started conducting certificate autonomous courses under the same institute. Dr. (Mrs.) Shobana Vasudevan is honorary Director of the Institute of commerce (IOC), Mr. S. Natarajan- Vice Principal; Dr.Tejashree P Patankar is Professor -in-Charge.
