R.A. Podar College has a well-structured mentor – mentee programme. This program goes beyond regular check-ins, offering:

Team-based learning: Mentees are grouped into teams of 12 with dedicated leaders, fostering collaboration and streamlining communication. Team leaders bridge the gap between mentors and mentees, ensuring everyone stays informed.

Supportive environment: Mentees learn from each other and mentors become trusted sounding boards for academic, career, and personal concerns. Mentors provide valuable insights and connect mentees to relevant resources.

Dedicated mentors: Every full-time teacher acts as a mentor, personally guiding and bonding with their assigned mentees throughout the year.

Building a lasting bond: Mentors delve beyond academics, understanding their mentees' interests, challenges, and aspirations. They encourage goal setting and celebrate achievements.

Emotional support: Recognizing potential emotional struggles, mentors direct students towards the college's Self Development Centre for professional counseling.

Onboarding new learners in the campus: Orientation sessions are organised at the beginning of the academic year to orient the students new to the UG program through the student induction programme. The mentor briefs the mentees regarding the courses, evaluation pattern and the various facilities available in the college.

Student Induction programme: The student induction programme is a welcoming and supportive experience for new students and is conducted to provide a coherent and effective introduction to College life. The programme contains social activities that encourage students to get to know each other and to become acquainted with the College, the location of key staff, facilities and services.

This multifaceted program aims to equip students with the skills, confidence, and direction they need to thrive in their academic and personal lives, making them successful and well-rounded individuals.
